Music Education and Professional Experience
- Marco started playing the guitar and studying music at age 12. He studied guitar with Jimmy Villotti.
- 1996: He moved to the United States, where he attended seminars and workshops with Joe Pass, Bucky Pizzarelli and John Stowell and played in several bands and small groups with musicians from the Pacific NorthWest.
- 1996-2001: During his graduate studies at Washington State University, he performed with the Big Band of Gregory Yasinitsky. He also took courses in music theory and composition with Charles Argersinger and jazz improvisation with Horace A. Young at the School of Music at Washington State University.
- He later studied guitar in Italy with Domenico Caliri.
- Since 1996 he has been composing music published with Pacific Coast Jazz (San Diego, California). Recordings and sheet music are available on the Music page of this website.
- He has performed, recorded and collaborated with many musicians in the USA and Europe.
